Many happy returns for Vision Super investors
Investors in the majority of our super and pension products have enjoyed another year of double-digit returns net of fees and (any) tax.
Financial year returns were driven by Australian shares rising by 28.7% and international shares by 14.6% on a partially hedged basis. With growth assets running hot, there have been more muted returns from the more defensive cash and fixed interest markets.
In the more conservative Premixed options, Balanced Conservative posted a double-digit return for the year, whilst Fixed Interest Plus returned 8.25% for super and 9.15% for pension plan members. Investors in our Balanced Growth, Shares Plus and Just Shares investment options (both premixed and sustainable) have now received net returns in excess of 10% p.a. over one and three years.
Investors in our Single Sector options should also be pleased. Australian Equities earned a net 27.2% and International Equities 12.18%. But it was not just the traditional investment markets that performed well. Our Property option that invests in unlisted property trusts grew by 15.3% during the year. Alternative Assets; investing in fund of fund hedge fund managers also grew by a net 13.99%
